Ductile Iron 45℃ Bend

Ductile Iron 45℃ Bend is a core pipe fitting used to change the pipeline direction by 45℃ in piping systems. Made of ductile iron (QT450-10) as the base material and formed by centrifugal casting process, it is widely used in municipal water supply, drainage, gas transmission and distribution, and industrial circulating water pipeline projects.

QT450-10 matrix with a tensile strength of >=450 MPa; offers impact and settlement resistance, combining the corrosion resistance of cast iron with the toughness of steel.

Great elongation and high pressure resistance, suitable for high-pressure water supply trunk pipelines.

Almost no plasticity with low pressure bearing capacity, only applicable for low-pressure drainage pipelines.

Excellent fatigue resistance. Withstands frequent pressure fluctuations and water hammer impact, extending service life.

Prone to crack expansion under alternating stress, poor resistance to water hammer and cyclic load.

Optimized wall thickness under equal pressure rating, lighter weight, lower transportation and construction costs.

Requires thicker wall to compensate brittleness, resulting in heavier weight and higher onsite cost.

Complete standard system with T-type / K-type sockets and flange connections; high gasket interchangeability.

Mostly outdated non-standard products, difficult part replacement and poor project compatibility.

Low failure rate, greatly reduces maintenance, excavation and water outage repair costs.

Frequent breakage requires full-section excavation and replacement, causing high maintenance expenses.
