Bronze-finished Artistic SG Iron Well Covers

Cover plate and outer frame are integrally cast from SG iron (QT450-10 spheroidal graphite cast iron), spheroidization rate controlled above 85%, mechanical performance complies with GB/T 13295 and EN124 municipal casting specifications. Intricate relief patterns are directly formed during precision casting, ensuring pattern depth and texture will not vanish after long-term abrasion. The bronze antique finishing undergoes multi-stage polishing, base anti-rust treatment, special colour staining and transparent weather-resistant sealing. The finish penetrates into relief recesses to form natural light-dark contrast. Clients can select matte bronze, antique patina and other vintage colour effects. The decorative surface will not weaken structural bearing capacity, and optional anti-theft lock and manual lifting holes can be added according to project requirements. Reinforced rib layout on back reasonably disperses traffic load while controlling overall self-weight.

Optional EN124 load grades include A15, B125 and C250. A15 is suitable for pure footpaths, parks and green belts; B125 fits residential roads and commercial pedestrian zones allowing small cars; C250 can be used for roadside light vehicle parking areas. Heavy traffic carriageway deployment needs structural reinforcement evaluation. Applicable environment temperature ranges from -25℃ to 70℃, capable of enduring long-term outdoor ultraviolet radiation, rainwater erosion and seasonal temperature alternation. Anti-slip texture is reasonably arranged on the surface to prevent pedestrian slipping under wet conditions. The bronze decorative layer adopts high weather resistance coating to slow down fading and chalking caused by outdoor environment. Each finished cover shall complete static load inspection before delivery to guarantee safety under design load.

After casting sand cleaning, the substrate receives primer anti-corrosion treatment before bronze antique colouring. The final transparent sealing coat protects colour layer against tire friction and pollutant erosion. Compared with simple surface painting, this multi-layer finishing greatly extends decorative effect retention time. Under standard municipal pedestrian and light traffic environment, with half-yearly surface cleaning and partial touch-up maintenance, the SG iron substrate maintains stable bearing performance over 20 years. Proper routine maintenance can preserve the antique bronze visual effect for a long period. Compact casting texture avoids internal shrinkage defects that cause hidden fracture risks.

Full customization is supported for relief patterns, cultural logos, text marks, outline shape, bronze colour tone, lifting hole layout and lock accessories. Common themes include local cultural symbols, scenic landmarks, historical patterns, plant and animal elements. Design drawings or picture drafts can be provided by buyers for mould development. The outer frame should be embedded into concrete pavement base during construction, ensure cover surface flush with surrounding ground to eliminate stumbling risks. Avoid direct long-term heavy truck rolling unless higher load specification is adopted.
